A minimum of 12 employees, together with ladies, had been killed and plenty of had been injured in an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Kattanarpatti in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district on Sunday, police stated.

Information company PTI stated about 30 employees had been on the firecracker manufacturing facility when the hearth broke out. Chief Minister MK Stalin condoled the deaths and instructed the district administration to coordinate all essential help. Stalin stated he had instructed ministers KKSSR Ramachandran and Thangam Thennarasu to hurry to the spot and monitor the rescue operations.
