RTC’s Joint Motion Committe chairman E Venkanna informed reporters that the negotiations with the group of ministers led by deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and official delegation led by TGSRTC chairman Y Nagi Reddy ended on a cordial notice.

“The state authorities agreed to the vast majority of our long-pending calls for, together with pay revision, declaration of elections to the recognised union, and merger of RTC with the state transport division,” Venkanna mentioned.

Vikarmaka mentioned TGSRTC was a part of the state authorities household. “It’s deeply transferring when a member of our household is misplaced,” he mentioned, referring to the demise of a 55-year-old driver Shankar Goud, a day after he set himself ablaze at Narsampet depot in Warangal district.

State transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar mentioned the federal government had directed the TGSRTC administration to make essential preparations to conduct the elections on the earliest.

He additionally introduced the structure of an official committee to look at the long-standing demand for the merger of RTC with the state authorities. The committee will embody representatives from the federal government, RTC administration, and worker unions.
