Part-3 of SIR in 16 states and three Union Territories from Might 30, says Election Fee | India Information

The Election Fee on Thursday introduced the schedule for the third section of the Particular Intensive Revision (SIR), protecting 16 states and three Union Territories ranging from Might 30 in Odisha, Mizoram, Sikkim and Manipur.
“The schedule of SIR Part-III has been fastened retaining in view the widespread discipline equipment with the continuing home itemizing of Census. With this, the SIR of Electoral Rolls will cowl all the nation in Part-III besides Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. After contemplating the completion of Part-II of the Census in these three State/UTs and due consideration of the climate within the higher reaches/ snow certain areas, SIR schedule for these three State/UTs will probably be introduced later,” the EC stated in an announcement.

The one-month house-to-house visits by the Sales space Stage Officers will begin from Might 30 in Odisha, Mizoram, Sikkim and Manipur; Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu from June 4; Uttarakhand from June 8; Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh from June 15; Telangana and Punjab from June 25; Karnataka, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Delhi from June 30; Nagaland from August 16; and Tripura from September 15.
“Throughout SIR Part-III over 3.94 lakh Sales space Stage Officers (BLOs) will go house-to-house to 36.73 crore electors assisted by 3.42 lakh Sales space Stage Brokers (BLAs) appointed by political events through the Enumeration Part…SIR is a participative train involving all stakeholders together with electors, political events and election officers. ECI requests all political events to nominate BLAs for every Polling Sales space, with a view to guarantee full participation of political events in order that SIR is performed with full transparency and full participation of political events,” the EC stated.
