Amid escalating navy tensions within the Center East, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) Saturday issued an announcement urging all events concerned to train restraint and prioritise the protection of civilians.
“India is deeply involved on the current developments in Iran and the Gulf area. We urge all sides to train restraint, keep away from escalation, and prioritise the protection of civilians. Dialogue and diplomacy must be pursued to de-escalate tensions and handle underlying points. Sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states have to be revered,” the MEA stated in an announcement.
The MEA added that its Missions within the area are in contact with Indian nationals and have issued acceptable advisories asking them to stay vigilant, keep in touch with the Missions, and comply with native safety steering.
Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’
