Centre Revokes Stringent NSA Detention After 170 Days as Ladakh Peace Talks Resume

In a major bid to revive calm in Ladakh, the Centre has revoked the detention of Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk beneath the Nationwide Safety Act (NSA), almost six months after his arrest amid escalating protests.
The Centre’s determination comes days after the Supreme Courtroom adjourned the listening to of the plea filed by Wangchuk’s spouseGitanjali J Angmo, difficult his detention beneath the NSA.
