Bordoloi, the sitting MP from Nagaon, had resigned from Congress on Tuesday, citing variations and allegations of being humiliated. He joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) on Wednesday forward of the Meeting polls in Assam on April 9.
