Deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar stated she has forwarded Chakankar’s resignation to CM Devendra Fadnavis for acceptance. Chakankar tendered her resignation on Friday.

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray slammed the state authorities over its alleged hyperlinks with Kharat, saying: “Maharashtra has a legislation in opposition to superstition and now we see that these anticipated to implement it had been concerned in Ashok Kharat’s superstitious actions.
