Washington-area airports halt flights resulting from chemical odor at air site visitors centre | World Information

In line with a spokesperson with the Division of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration briefly stopped site visitors at at Ronald Reagan Washington Nationwide Airport, Washington Dulles Worldwide Airport, Baltimore-Washington Worldwide Airport, Charlottesville–Albemarle Airport and Richmond Worldwide Airport due to a the chemical odor on the Potomac TRACON.
The TRACON is a terminal radar method management facility that manages air site visitors for these areas, in accordance with the FAA web site. FAA spokeswoman Kristen Alsop stated Friday that controllers have been coming again to work and regular flight operations ought to return to regular quickly. It was the second time this month that airports within the area have needed to halt flights due to a chemical odor on the Potomac facility.
