Ladakh secures distinct Aadhaar id, UIDAI removes J&Ok tag | India Information

In a big growth addressing the long-pending demand, residents of Ladakh can now see their rightful id mirrored in Aadhaar information, with “Ladakh” changing “Jammu & Kashmir” within the State discipline, following the intervention of Lieutenant Governor V Ok Saxena.
Based on a press launch, the UT administration took up the matter with the Distinctive Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to make sure that Ladakh’s distinct regional id is precisely represented in Aadhaar.
