‘Do not settle for resignations’: Govt tightens guidelines for ISRO exits amid mass appeals to give up

The memorandum, issued on Tuesday, is primarily meant for Group ‘A’ scientific and technical personnel. The division has directed ISRO centres to not routinely settle for resignation or voluntary retirement requests from these workers, information company PTI reported.
“Of late, it’s observed that there was a spate of requests for voluntary retirement and resignation from Group ‘A’ Scientific/ Technical personnel of ISRO together with these related to the celebrated Gaganyaan and different essential missions/ tasks severely impacting the implementation of tasks of nationwide significance,” stated the memorandum.

“In view of this, it has been determined that voluntary retirement and resignation requests from Scientific & Technical personnel related to the Gaganyaan and different essential Mission/ Initiatives might not be accepted as a matter of routine,” it added.
The memorandum added that any requests from scientists and technical personnel, even at or under the rank of scientist and engineer, have to be forwarded to the Division of House together with the director’s “clear suggestions” for a ultimate determination.
The memorandum was acquired by the UR Rao Satellite tv for pc Centre (URSC) and the Vikram Sarabhai House Centre (VSSC).
Why this transfer?
