Minister of State for Exterior Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh will lead the Indian delegation on the second Worldwide Migration Assessment Discussion board being held underneath the UN Basic Meeting in New York from Could 4-8, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) mentioned Saturday.
The discussion board serves as the first world platform to debate and share progress on the implementation of the International Compact for Migration and its intersection with the UN’s Sustainable Improvement Targets (SDGs), the MEA mentioned.
The discussion board will consist of 4 interactive multi-stakeholder spherical tables, a coverage debate, and a plenary, adopted by the adoption of a progress declaration. Held first in 2022, India had then actively participated within the migration discussion board.
