A lady and a safety personnel suffered accidents in separate firing incidents in Manipur in a span of 24 hours.
An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Central Armed Police Power, who has been recognized as Sonawane Sanjay, sustained accidents after an unidentified gunman opened hearth on him late Sunday night time in Lamka city, Churachandpur district.
Police stated when a mob tried to storm the residence of the Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) chairman, safety personnel fired tear gasoline shells however the mob started stone-pelting.
Police stated that an unidentified particular person opened hearth through the conflict which left Sanjay with a bullet damage to his proper hand. He was rushed to the district hospital, Tuibuong and later referred to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal. A case has been registered.
