Tremors felt in North Bengal, northeast as 5.6 magnitude earthquake jolts Bhutan
Tremors had been felt throughout North Bengal and the northeast after a robust earthquake struck Bhutan on Sunday night.

In line with German Analysis Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Bhutan at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles) at round 11:06 pm.
The epicentre of the earthquake was situated at Bhutan’s Punakha, north of West Bengal. Tremors had been felt throughout North Bengal, elements of the northeast, and Bangladesh.
A number of web customers took to social media to report tremors within the area. There have been no fast report of any damages or casualties.
